Church Toilet® has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality toilet seats for over 50 years. Our mission is to provide churches, businesses, and homes with the most comfortable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing toilet seats on the market.
Our History
Church Toilet® was founded in 1965 by John Smith, a plumber and contractor. John recognized a need for more comfortable and functional toilet seats after receiving constant complaints from churches about standard plastic toilet seats breaking, loosening, or causing discomfort. He began tinkering in his home workshop to create a toilet seat that would stand the test of time.
After months of experimenting with different materials and innovative designs, John developed the first Church Toilet® toilet seat. It featured a robust wood core with a heavy-duty enameled coating. The specialized glazing process ensured that the finish was chip and scratch resistant while also preventing the absorption of odors and bacteria. John’s unique hinge design eliminated the annoying loosening issues of standard seats.
By 1968, Church Toilet® toilet seats were installed in hundreds of churches and demand was rapidly growing. We opened our first manufacturing facility and launched a mail-order catalog business. Ever since, we have continued to grow and innovate while remaining dedicated to John’s vision of quality, comfort, and durability.
Today, Church Toilet® operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Our catalog contains over 50 toilet seat models and styles to accommodate virtually any bathroom. With over 5 million Church Toilet® toilet seats installed worldwide, we have built a reputation for outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
Our Values
Church Toilet® attributes our success to the core values instilled by our founder John Smith. These values continue to drive every aspect of our business.
Quality
We use only the finest materials and follow meticulous craftsmanship standards to ensure our products provide a lifetime of durability. Each Church Toilet® toilet seat undergoes stringent testing and inspections before earning our name.
Comfort
A toilet seat should be comfortable and pain-free to use. We ergonomically design our seats to provide proper thigh support and seamless contact. You’ll never have to worry about pinched skin or uncomfortable gaps again.
Innovation
Following in John Smith’s footsteps, our engineers are always striving to develop breakthrough innovations that improve the customer experience. We hold several patents on unique hinge mechanisms, quick-release features, antimicrobial materials, and more.
Sustainability
We care deeply about our environmental impact. Our wood toilet seats come from responsibly managed forests. We use recycled metals, energy-efficient processes, and bio-based materials whenever possible.
Design
Beauty and style matter, even for a toilet seat! Our acclaimed designers offer an inspiring array of colors, shapes, and patterns to enhance any bathroom’s decor. We provide the finest finish options too, from glossy enamels to wood grains and brushed metals.
Value
Superior quality doesn’t have to mean a premium price tag. We pride ourselves on keeping Church Toilet® products affordable for churches, businesses, and households on any budget. Our toilet seats may cost a bit more than standard models but provide exponentially greater longevity, performance, and satisfaction.
Our Capabilities
We offer an extensive selection of commercial and residential toilet seat models covering all popular configurations, features, and styles.
Elongated vs Round
We offer both elongated and round toilet seats to fit any toilet bowl shape. Our elongated models provide increased comfort and contact area compared to round versions.
Open-Front vs Closed-Front
Open-front toilet seats feature a gap at the front for easier cleaning and accessibility. Closed-front models provide a more finished, seamless appearance.
Standard vs Slow-Close
Slow-close toilet seats prevent slamming thanks to integrated dampeners that gently lower the seat. We recommend slow-close models for residential settings to reduce noise.
Materials
Church Toilet® uses heavy-duty plastics, enameled wood composites, antimicrobial stainless steel, and solid surface materials to craft our toilet seats. Each material provides unique benefits.
Hinge Types
We incorporate several hinge designs to eliminate loose toilet seats. Our proprietary self-tightening hinges maintain consistent torque without bolts or hardware.
Ergonomic Shapes
You’ll find ergonomic U-shaped, waterfall front, and elongated toilet seat models to increase thigh contact and seating comfort.
Toilet Brand Compatibility
We make toilet seats to fit all major toilet manufacturers like American Standard, Kohler, Toto, and more. Church Toilet® seats work for both one and two-piece toilets.
ADA Compliance
Many of our toilet seats meet ADA guidelines for commercial accessibility with extended front overhangs and easy-grip seat lifting handles.
Colors
From classic White, Biscuit, and Almond to Sparkling Nickel, Glossy Black, Rose Gold and eye-catching patterns, you’ll love our finish options.
Antimicrobial Protection
Select Church Toilet® seats incorporate antimicrobial additives into the materials to inhibit bacteria, mold, and odor buildup.
Quick-Release
We engineered an ingenious quick-release hinge that allows our toilet seat to snap on and off in seconds for simple deep cleaning and maintenance.
Insulated Core
Our patented foam-filled toilet seat core prevents sweating and condensation so the seat stays warm and dry.
Our Manufacturing
We design, develop, and manufacturer Church Toilet® toilet seats in our own ISO 9001 certified facilities. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain the strictest levels of quality control and production standards.
Raw Materials
We source rock maple and oak hardwoods from managed North American forests for our wood seats. Our plastics consist of durable polypropylene or ABS materials. Stainless steel and metal components exceed commercial grade specifications.
Craftsmanship
Skilled technicians hand-assemble each toilet seat and inspect them at multiple stages in the manufacturing process. Critical dimensions are verified to thousandths of an inch tolerance. This human craftsmanship results in unparalleled consistency and quality.
Surface Finishing
Our advanced enameling process coats toilet seats with specially formulated fused-on glass to create a smooth, chip-proof, scratch-resistant barrier that will never fade or yellow.
Performance Testing
We utilize real-world simulations and lab testing to validate the performance of new toilet seat designs. Critical stress points are identified to optimize durability. Test fixtures replicate years of use to detect potential issues.
Efficiency
By engineering for manufacturability and maintaining state-of-the-art production lines, we’re able to produce high volumes of seats while keeping costs competitive. This efficiency ensures excellent value for our customers.
