Origins
Bibi Lou® was founded in 2012 by designers Sarah Kae and Jay Lewis. As longtime friends and collaborators, Sarah and Jay shared a distinct vision for modern women’s footwear that coupled elegance with California cool. They wanted to craft shoes that were glamorous yet comfortable, fashion-forward yet timeless.
After months of planning, sketching, and sourcing premium materials, Sarah and Jay released the inaugural Bibi Lou® collection in 2013. It featured the signature elements that our fans still know and love today: vibrant colors, feminine silhouettes, and standout details like bold buckles, shiny chains, and clear vinyl straps. The response was immediate – women everywhere fell in love with the playfulness and confidence Bibi Lou® shoes inspire.
